Adam was born March of 1988 in Waterloo, Iowa. He attended school around the area and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Education. Soon after graduating he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue acting. Since relocating, he has been very blessed to have worked with amazing talent and has continually pushed forward in the industry. Every day is a journey and every journey creates another story.
Growing Up
Since childhood, Adam had three dreams. He wanted to be a rock star, football player and an actor. At a young age he could even recite almost every Jim Carey, Adam Sandler and Chris Farley movie word for word.
“I loved how they made me laugh and watching them helped develop the comic timing I utilize in my own career today.”
Adam grew up in a small town in Iowa who found its identity in athletics. Needless to say, He participated in athletics and had a successful high school career.
“The support of my family was vital in everything I did. They not only supported me but helped develop the values I still hold on to today.”
Adam’s father owned a residential construction company, so he was never without a job. Adam began working for him the summer between his fifth and sixth grade year of school.
“I gave up a lot of summer freedom with friends, but gained the essential work ethic that keeps me pushing forward in life.”
College
After graduating from high school, Adam’s life started to get more interesting. He played collegiate football at a small college and soon after, Adam hung his pads up for the last time. By this time in his life he could play the drums, guitar, piano and harmonica. Adam was introduced to a few college students who shared the same dream of making music a career. This seemed like a great opportunity and so became the beginnings of the band “A Past Unknown.”
“We were a Christian Metal band and although many of my family did not agree with the genre of music, we found our market and flourished.”
After a couple years, A Past Unknown received a contract from a record label and began touring the country playing various venues.
“After a few tours I felt I was being called to leave the music life and pursue a career in acting.”
But, before Adam dove head first into the next stage of life, He finished is schooling and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Technology Education. He also asked his number one supporter to be his wife and May of 2012, was married.
Post College
Now with a degree and best friend by his side, Adam felt like nothing could hold him back. He relocated from Iowa to Atlanta to chase and live out a dream.
“I have never regretted moving from a small town to one of the largest cities in the world. I firmly believe just because something is improbable does not make it impossible. You have to stay focused and sacrifice everything to keep moving forward.”
After playing college football, being a professional drummer and now a professional actor, Adam knows what it means to put your heart into every step and welcome the challenges along the way.
“I may not have a nice house or fancy cars, but every journey creates another story. Boy, do I have the stories for you.”
